Garfield County School Of Innovation is led by a passionate, experienced Development Team committed to creating an innovative, inclusive charter school that serves every student.

Committed to Every Student

Our board members bring expertise in education, business, technology, healthcare, and community advocacy. Together they guide Garfield County School Of Innovation's mission to build a K–12, tuition-free, STE³M+B curriculum — ensuring that all students, have access to the opportunities they deserve.

Judy Brannberg, MSc

Co-Founder and Proposed School Leader

Judy Brannberg

Judy and her husband Barry are the Co-Founders of the Garfield County School of Innovation. She previously Co-Founded the STEM School and Academy in Highlands Ranch in 2009 and served as the Executive Director of STEM Academy, the after-school, fundraising, and CMO of the school, where she helped build a rigorous, project-based STEM learning environment and fund-raised nearly $500,000 the first year. Judy holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Teaching from the University of Colorado. She and her husband are the parents of three grown sons and seven grandchildren.

Amy Campagna, RN

Amy Campagna

Amy Campagna is a Registered Nurse at Grand River Hospital in Rifle and a graduate of Colorado Mountain College. Amy is known for her exceptional care and compassion and received a Daisy Award for going above and beyond in her work each and every day. Amy is married to Chris who is a graduate of the University of California Davis and holds a BS Degree in Agricultural Science & Management with an Animal Science emphasis. Amy and Chris are the parents of four sons, all who excel in the STEM disciplines.  Amy is an active volunteer in the community, church, and in all of their sons' activities.

Barry Brannberg

Co-Founder, President, Business Manager, Real Estate

Barry Brannberg

Barry is the Co-Founder of Garfield County School of Innovation and previously Co-Founded the STEM School in Highlands Ranch, where he served as President and Business Manager. Under his leadership, STEM School became one of only three charter schools in Colorado to secure a CECFA Bond during its first year of operation — saving the school over $1 million in costs as the building rent and the buyout cost would have both increased by $500,000.00. Barry is a licensed Real Estate Broker with a background in Science Education and Mechanical Engineering, and has also devoted significant years to a career in ministry.

Clay and Ashley Buerger

Construction, Property Management &  Embry-Riddle Curriculum

Clay and Ashley Buerger

Clay and Ashley Buerger are natives of Garfield County and Embry-Riddle alumni. Clay is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history in the construction, property management, and petroleum industries, skilled in Water, Fire and Mold Restoration, Occupational Health & Safety, Asbestos Testing and Abatement, Estate and Property Management. Clay holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Ashley is an Arizona import, Embry-Riddle alumni and owner of Afternoon Delight Bakery.  They are busy parents to two sons.

Robin Robinson

Community Activist & Educational Choice

Robin Robinson

Robin is a local business owner and graduate of Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale. She is mom to four amazing adults and grandmother to eight wonderful young people. She is President of the Garfield County Republican Women, active in her grandchildren's education, and a vital part of expanded educational choice for all students in Garfield County through GCSI! Robin is a community activist and has the skills and talents necessary to rally the troops in Garfield County in support of choice education and for the approval of the GCSI Charter.

Salomi Gonzalez

Community Advocate & Survivor Support Specialist

Salomi Gonzalez

Salomi is a proud Belizean-born immigrant who came to the United States in 1986. In 2026, she celebrates 40 years in this Country, where she has built her life, raised her family, and dedicated herself to helping others. She is a proud mother of five children and a loving grandmother. Salomi is the founder and director of Circulo de Apoyo (Circle of Support), where she advocates for women who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and trauma. She works to ensure women have access to resources, emotional support, translation services and court assistance.
