Letter of Intent to Enroll
Submitting a Letter of Intent is the first step toward enrolling your child at Garfield County School Of Innovation. It is non-binding and simply lets us know you are interested — helping us plan for the number of students we will serve.

What Is a Letter of Intent?
A Letter of Intent to Enroll is a non-binding expression of interest. It does not commit you or your family to enrollment. It helps the Garfield County School Of Innovation understand the level of community interest and plan accordingly as we move through the charter approval process. We encourage every interested family to submit one — the more letters we receive, the stronger our case to the Garfield County Re-2 School District.

Who May Enroll?
Colorado Charter Schools Act — C.R.S. § 22-30.5-104(a) (2025)
"A charter school applicant cannot apply to, or enter into a charter contract with, a school district unless a majority of the charter school's pupils, other than online pupils, will reside in the chartering school district or in school districts contiguous thereto."
Therefore, Garfield County School Of Innovation welcomes students from the following contiguous districts:
- Garfield Re-1
- Garfield Re-2
- Garfield 16
- Plateau Valley 50
- Roaring Fork RE-1
- Meeker RE-1
Students from Aspen School District 1 and other districts are also welcome; however, the majority of enrolled students must reside in the chartering district (Garfield Re-2) or a contiguous district such as Garfield Re-1.
