For Homeschool Families
Homeschool Hybrid Program
One Day a Week. A World of Enrichment.
Garfield County School Of Innovation welcomes homeschool families to participate in our Homeschool Hybrid Program — a one-day-per-week curriculum enrichment experience built around our STE³M + Business framework.
The Best of Both Worlds
Your family keeps the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling while your student gains access to GCSI's vibrant peer learning community. One day per week, your student joins us for hands-on, project-based learning they simply can't get at home.
STE³M + Business Curriculum Focus
How the Program Works
One Day Per Week
Students attend GCSI one designated day per week, joining our regular student body for enrichment sessions in our STE³M + Business labs and classrooms.
Hands-On Lab Access
Participants gain access to GCSI's Career and Technical Education labs — robotics, culinary arts, engineering, aviation simulation, and more — under the guidance of credentialed instructors.
Project-Based Learning
Every session is built around real-world projects and challenges that connect directly to the STE³M + Business curriculum, giving students skills they can apply immediately.
Community and Collaboration
Homeschool students become part of the GCSI community — collaborating with peers, participating in competitions, and building relationships that extend beyond the classroom.
Enrollment and Funding
GCSI's Homeschool Hybrid Program is structured as a part-time enrollment option. Participating students are enrolled part-time with GCSI, and the school receives a portion of the Per Pupil Revenue (PPR) allocated by the state of Colorado for part-time students. There is no tuition cost to families — the program is publicly funded.
Specific PPR rates and part-time enrollment requirements are governed by Colorado Revised Statutes and CDE guidelines. GCSI will confirm all regulatory details with the Colorado Department of Education and our authorizing district prior to program launch. Families will receive complete enrollment documentation before the program begins.
